民俗實踐與時間具有密切的關係，民俗物件與時間觀界定了日常生活的意義。民俗實踐是「時間劇場」、民俗的自然物與人為物則是「時間膠囊」，民俗實踐與物件的文化價值體現在獨特的時間觀中。理論上，不論是那一種類型的民俗實踐與物件，都參與了時間的社會文化建構，創造有待研究的多樣化的時間觀。
