as a whole, these papers shed new light on the manifold processes by which
ritual specialists throughout Southwest China
have proven able to perpetuate indigenous traditions while also absorbing
elements of outside religions, phenomena that are readily apparent in the
reverberation between Daoist and local practices. In addition, this research
calls our attention the importance of gender, including that of the ritual
specialists being studied, the deities they invoke, and the worshippers they
interact with.

本輯的第二部分，延續西南宗教文化的主題，持續對中國西南地區非漢的神職人員角色及其所操演的儀式活動、性別意識和象徵性的文化意義、神職家庭親屬概念的擴展、非漢族的許願及還願儀式等議題進行探究。不僅反思過去既有的相關研究，多以語言區分的群體為共同文化單位的概念，深入探討廣西西南三縣壯族、貴州黔東台江縣苗族、湖南省藍山縣過山瑤族等各區域族群生成時，可能產生漢與非漢族不同認知上的隱含寓義。
